To: Its All Over Except ...

These attitudes are what I believe was meant by “thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

Yet many Christians seem to be more concerned about the imprecation “goddamn” and similar vulgarities. I believe these are trivial compared with claiming divine sanction for evil acts.

And as my sainted Dad would say: “When the hammer hits the thumb, you’re not going to say ‘Oh goodness gracious me!’”

Using the Lord’s Name in vain is not a “trivual” sin and is another example of twisting the truth of God’s Word. God will not be mocked. He is Holy.
