On the sign in front of the Zildjian Factory it says “Since 1623”. That is, of course, a mere three years after the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth, just a few towns to the southeast.
So, as we look forward to next year’s commemoration of the Pilgrims’ 400th anniversary, we can also note that the Zildjian Family and the Pilgrims came to America for the same reason...Religious Freedom.
