LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. -- An atheist group has won its fight against COLTS, the County of Lackawanna Transit System.
The federal lawsuit from 2012 was over an ad the group wanted to put on the sides of buses.
The COLTS board of directors said the ad violated a policy about buses becoming, "a public forum for debate and discussion."
Justin Vacula, a student from Marywood University, sued, and on Tuesday, a federal court ruled the ban on religious and non-religious messaging violates the First Amendment.
Vacula is the spokesperson for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Freethought Society, the group that brought the suit.

Interesting. A public transit system. Someone does not want to see or hear this or that message. I could enjoy busses with no message at all except bus number and destination. Is the revenue from ads properly disbursed?
Retired now, but the commuter bus I took had a public service announcement about how they served the community.
Sounds, non-controversial, right?
Guess again.
The all white passenger buses took us into the almost all-black city and back.
Community? Yeah, right.
Atheism is antitheism. It is a “belief” in the no-god god. It is decidedly anti-Christian in its efforts and if they are trying to provoke “debate” then their “no god in schools” agenda has been forfeited to tolerate the counter argument.
They claim they are not a religion.
They push for a supremacist implementation of their ideology.
The sick irony is that Atheism in its own right is a religion and most Atheists bow to the religion of liberalism.

Hope the religious groups take advantage of the ruling and buy ad spaces.
Some people are so terrified of God, they will pay big money to never be reminded of Him. If He’s not real why spend money trying to wipe out anything to do with Him?
