To: Mark17

That is not borne out of the gospel text. Mary tells the servers to ask Jesus. She implicitly believes HE can do anything, He is God. He is rather brusque in saying not my time yet.

But He does it - not as an answer to a command but as a dutiful son to please His mother. He followed the command to honor His father and mother completely.

Check the NT in context.

Jesus doesn't "jump" at everything Mary asks of Him.

Mary tells the servers to ask Jesus.

She didn't tell them to ask Jesus.

She told them to do whatever He said.

She implicitly believes HE can do anything, He is God.

That is not implied in the text.

He is rather brusque in saying not my time yet.

He never sinned. He was not brusque.
