Todd Bentley’s Alleged Homosexuality and Abuse Exposed

In news that surprises few who have followed the sheer depravity of this man – both violent and sexual – this will not be a big surprise, but it is news. Todd Bentley is a major charismatic prophet with the New Apostolic Reformation and has a colossal ministry (especially overseas). He’s also famous from cheating on his wife during the entirety of the famous “Lakeland Revival” and doing supposed miracles by kicking and punching people. After his fall from grace due to his substance abuse and extramarital affairs, he was “restored to ministry” by the biggest names in Charismatic evangelicalism.

Todd Bentley is the hyper-charismatic faith healer who claims to have raised multiple people from the dead and claims he heals people, yet with zero evidence of such healings. He has been involved in sex scandals as long as he’s been known in the charismatic world who fell from ministry and was subsequently restored by Rick Joyner.

A man closely involved in Bentley’s ministry by the name of Stephen Powell has come forward with allegations of homosexual activity and sexual abuse at the hands of Todd Bentley. If these allegations are true, and Todd Bentley has been acting sexually inappropriate with underage teens, then the authorities should be involved in this.

Jesus warned us that there would be wolves among the sheep but that He knows His own and we know Him and hear His voice and follow ONLY Him. False teachers, unfortunately, are found in many places and we should be wary of them. We will know them by their fruits. Sounds like Mr. Bentley is one of the bad ones.

Imagining a conversation between Jesus and a talking amphibian idol and quoting it as if the LORD said it, could reasonably be considered by Christians to be profane, blasphemous, impious, sinful, irreverent, irreligious, godless, ungodly, unholy, and disrespectful.

Almost comical coming from an adherent to a denomination that sanctions the wearing of a man-made piece of cloth from an apparition claiming it will keep you out of the eternal fire IF you do certain things.

Not one of which is supported by Scripture.

There is a huge difference between AMPU using the term imagine, which clearly illustrates this was just an example, verses the Roman Catholic almost dogmatic acceptance of the messages of the apparition.

Now, which one of these is really profaning God?

The one advocating another way of avoiding the eternal fire by wearing a man-made piece of cloth.

I was attending services at a convenient Salvation Army temple some years ago. One day the captain who I guess was the lead pastor was sleeveless and had a large tatoo or two on his bare arms. While the services seemed ok that bothered me enough that I never returned. If it had been a someone in the pews with me I could have lived with that but I want the person who leads a congregation to actually lead and be on the straight and narrow path. I don’t expect perfection but he also has to be pointing to Jesus and not himself or the things of this world. Jesus said by their fruits we shall know if they are of him or not and we should be wary of deceivers and wolves in sheeps clothing.
