In news that surprises few who have followed the sheer depravity of this man both violent and sexual this will not be a big surprise, but it is news. Todd Bentley is a major charismatic prophet with the New Apostolic Reformation and has a colossal ministry (especially overseas). Hes also famous from cheating on his wife during the entirety of the famous Lakeland Revival and doing supposed miracles by kicking and punching people. After his fall from grace due to his substance abuse and extramarital affairs, he was restored to ministry by the biggest names in Charismatic evangelicalism.
Todd Bentley is the hyper-charismatic faith healer who claims to have raised multiple people from the dead and claims he heals people, yet with zero evidence of such healings. He has been involved in sex scandals as long as hes been known in the charismatic world who fell from ministry and was subsequently restored by Rick Joyner.
A man closely involved in Bentleys ministry by the name of Stephen Powell has come forward with allegations of homosexual activity and sexual abuse at the hands of Todd Bentley. If these allegations are true, and Todd Bentley has been acting sexually inappropriate with underage teens, then the authorities should be involved in this.

Let's see...
Kermit: "Hello Jesus! Got a quick question...
Jesus: "Certainly."
Kermit: "When you said that whole thing about the gates of hell not being able to stand against the church, what did you refer to?
Jesus: "Excellent question and much abused by those who wanted an earthly church of power to be identical to My earthly kingdom in the Millennium. It is not.
Let me explain so even a wonderful frog like you can understand...
I drew attention to Peter’s name because I was about to make a pun on it.The English name “Peter” is a transliteration of the Greek name Petros. Petros translates the Aramaic word kepa. This word transliterated into Greek is Kephas from which we get “Cephas” in English (John 1:42; et al.). The Aramaic word kepa was an accepted name in Jesus’ day (cf. 4:18). It means “rock.” Peter’s nickname was “Rocky.” Petros commonly meant “stone” in pre-Christian Greek, but kepa, which underlies the Greek, means “(massive) rock.”
My servant Matthew recorded the Aramaic distinction in Greek. If I had wanted to identify Peter as the rock on which I would build My gathering, the clearest way to do this would have been to use the same word.
I didn't, because that wasn't my point.
I am the Rock.
Peter identified Me as such in 1 Peter 2:5–8 (cf. Rom. 9:33).
My Old Testament used the figure of a rock to describe God (Deut. 32:4, 15, 18, 30, 31, 37; 2 Sam. 22:2; Ps. 18:31, 46; 28:1).
By pointing to Myself, I identified Myself with what the Hebrew Scriptures foretold about Me.
I am God.
My New Testament refers explicitly to Me as the church’s foundation elsewhere (Rom. 9:33; 1 Cor. 3:11; 1 Pet. 2:5–8), and I referred to Myself as the church’s builder here.
The Greek word I spoke here for "church" refers to an assembly of people called out for a particular purpose. It comes from the verb ekkaleo, “to call out from.”
“. . . ekklesia was the only possible word to express My Christian body as distinct from Jews. . . .
I had just ended My public ministry in Galilee, had taken the disciples on a long journey alone, and was about to go to Jerusalem with the avowed intention of being killed; no moment was more suitable for preparing My followers to become a new body, isolated both from the masses and from the civil and religious authorities.”
I used the term ekklesia to refer to a new entity that was yet to come into existence. I said I would build it in the future.
Furthermore I claimed the gathering as My own in a unique sense by calling it “my gathering.”
Now, on to your question about the "gates of hell."
“Gates” in biblical usage refer to fortifications (Gen. 22:17; Ps. 127:5).
“Hades” is the place of departed spirits (cf. 5:22; 11:23).
Together these terms refer to death and dying (Job 17:16; 38:17; Ps. 9:13; 107:18; Isa. 38:10).633
I meant that the powers of death, Satan and his hosts doing their most powerful work of opposing life, would not prevail over My gathering.
Even My own death would not prevent My building my gathering.
It did not.
"Thanks for calling Kermit!"
Kermit: "Wait. You didn't mean the gates of hell wouldn't prevail over an earthly church in Rome??"
Jesus: "No small one. Go back and read what I just explained until you understand that it is never about an earthly church, but always about all those I gather to Myself after I was lifted up. Nothing can stop that. Not even my own death. I rose from the dead depite the fortifications that stand between the living and the dead."
Kermit: "Thank you Jesus!"
People who say the blessing and then engorge themselves on the bread of the poor --- Jet-Set Preachers With Working-Class Flocks --- are "taking the Lord's Name in vain" much more damnably than some poor guy who hits his thumb with a hammer and yelps out a sharp "God $@&%."
We do. The One true church is the church made up of all believers across time And will be revealed at Christs coming. It has nothing to do with any earthly denomination
We walked in, found two chairs and the procession started, I immediately jumped up the minute this ‘phony’ was introduced and went out side, my friend came out and asked me what was wrong so I told him: “That man is a fake, I have more of God in me than he does and I'm not going back in”...the hair was standing straight up on my arms and I felt like I couldn't breathe...
We got on our bikes and left, checked out of the motel, the manager was quite surprised and gave us our money back, we rode for a couple of hours and went into a diner and ate, we rode all night back home...
A few weeks later we heard on God T.V. that Todd Bentley was kicked out of Lakeland and his church out of Canada and his wife left him...
This is the first I have heard about the ‘phony’ since then and this does not surprise me in the least...he is a man of Satan and should be dismissed by everyone who he crosses paths with...
From now on this man must be ‘scrutinized, for his sake and the sake of the body of Christ. Anaias and Saphira should tell us something ...
There is a twisted demonically inspired movement hallmarked by men like Andy Stanley, Joel Osteen, Todd Bentley, Jimmy Swaggert, Tom Baker, and a couple of noisy females claiming spiritual powers. This is a clear and loud evidence that we are truly at the end. The Apostasia (departure from the faith once delivered) is glaring at us. Get ready, the snatching away departure is close at hand.
Decades ago in my Bible Study class we had an electrician who was sent to a hotel in B’ham, AL to ‘fix the stun system’ used by Earnest Angeley. I image Hinn has a more sophisticated system, but technology not spirit nonetheless.
Well and truly stated, and so succinctly!
Hinn took up with one of the more mouthy female ‘evangelists’ as I recall.
I notice your gif is from an ‘Atheism gifs’ site. Hinn is not representing atheism, he’s working for satan under the guise of false teacher.
Why is this so hard to understand?
Maybe because certain people belonging to a certain man-made organization have PRE-CONCEIVED notions of what ekklesia means and if the answer doesn’t suit their preconceptions, then it must not be true.
Nobody wishes to investigate.
Nobody looks for veracity in their Bibles.
They just repeat and repost what they’ve been spoon-fed their entire lives.
Good luck with that on Judgement Day folks!
Or as Kermit would say, “sheesh”...
Tatted up 'man of god' indeed! LOL
Add Paula White, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Jen Hatmaker, Beth Moore, Rachel Held Evans (now dead & judged) to that list.
Apostasy is everywhere these days.
The Harpazo cannot be far off as you well noted.
Ignore the pedophiles and sodomites behind the curtain.
At LEAST this bunch didn’t receive their marching orders from some apparition!
I really didn’t pay attention to what site was hosting it, I just grabbed the first one that came up on the image search.
