Emotion has nothing to do with it. Your own words condemn you.
If you have to tell everyone how great you are, you aren’t.
If you were someone special, people could see it for themselves.
Okay, please single out the words that are “telling everyone how great I am.” I shall wait.
I don’t deny how great the Christ that I have been trained to carry is, however. At that point I no longer pour out the world’s idea of modesty. Imagine any one of the noted disciples saying that he had been given a mission amounting to nothing.
I think you’re being oversensitive about “well thought” (that should be more like “infused with good thoughts from heaven in spite of myself”) here. But I will certainly dot that I and cross that T for you.
Now please show me that you have no emotion invested in this thing. I have made a distinction that, to go any further, would deny what Christ has done in my life.
