The Vatican Drops a Gender Fluid Bomb on Pride Month, & People are Mad

BThe verdict: It’s baloney.

As reported by The Washington Post, Catholic officials are declaring a “crisis” with regard to sex education, caused by “disorientation.”

A new church document — — states that the idea one may choose their gender is in “direct contradiction of the model of marriage as being between one man and one woman.”

And that’s all there is, the church notes — one and one. Only two sexes.

And they ain’t the same:

“It is precisely within the nucleus of the family unit that children can learn how to recognize the value and the beauty of the differences between the two sexes.”

Some aren’t too thrilled about all the distinction. Jesuit Father James Martin wrote a book on reaching LGBTQ peeps called Building a Bridge, and he thinks the sleeping giant that is the Church needs to woke up:

James Martin, SJ

@JamesMartinSJ

Breaking: Vatican document takes aim at "gender theory." It rightly calls for "dialogue" and "listening," but sets aside the real-life experiences of LGBT people. Sadly, it will be used as a cudgel against transgender people, and an excuse to argue that they shouldn't even exist.

Not only are there just 2 sexes, the Vatican claims, but you don’t get to choose whether you have a real or figurative innie or an outie. You’re born, and you’re either a dude or a chick, and that’s the end of it.

And check this out: Men and women complement one another. Like, fit together.

From CBS News:

The Vatican issued an official document…rejecting the idea that people can choose or change their genders and insisting on the sexual “complementarity” of men and women to make babies. The text, “Male and Female He Created Them,” was intended to help Catholics address what the Vatican’s Congregation for Catholic Education called an “educational crisis” in the field of sex education.

Pope Francis has repeatedly argued the position that people cannot choose their genders. But the document represents the first attempt to put the Vatican’s position, first articulated fully by Pope Benedict XVI in a 2012 speech, into a comprehensive, official text.

The Church also believes in femininity and — toxicity alert — masculinity:

The document called for a new alliance among families, schools and society to offer a “positive and prudent sexual education” in Catholic schools so children learn the “full original truth of masculinity and femininity.”

New Ways Ministry head Francis DeBernardo — author of Marriage Equality: a Positive Catholic Approach — is also speaking out against the religious report: What the heck is gender, other than just something you discover, daddy-o? Check out his cool modern manness:

“Gender is also biologically determined by genetics, hormones and brain chemistry – things not visible at birth. People do not choose their gender, as the Vatican claims, they discover it through their lived experiences. [Gender] is a process by which individuals discover the wonderful way that God has created them.”

Interesting timing for the Church’s statement — in case you haven’t heard, June is Pride Month. Subsequently, interesting stories abound. Here are a few so far:

What do you think about the Church’s statement? Particularly for those of you who are Catholic, what do you expect to be the ramifications? That Vatican hopes to have a dialogue compliments of “listening, reasoning, and proposing.”

I realize this was reported on last month, but the issue isn't shrinking, it's growing--- and it's interesting to watch, in a guardedly hopeful kind of way.

The Vatican came out with a (comparatively) strongly-worded statement against Critical Gender Theory and in favor of "Sexual Complementary," i.e. that by Divine and Natural Law, men and women were made for each other.

And, as Saul Alinky said, "The Action is in the Reaction." The Space Cadets of Sexual Disorientation are apparently still flipping out about this.

Go back and read at the link, because I didn't know how to format quotes from Twitter and several other features. Anti-Pope Francis Shrieks and Tweets from the Angry Catholic Left are always ironically refreshing reading.

There's something to rejoice about here, brothers and sisters.

The self is a Gift of God
He Defines the Gift, not us

What I think in this regard is otherwise a null hypothesis

The Church is in the thick of it.

Satan has first successfully infiltrated the Priesthood and now the Vatican and is systematically destroying the Church from within.

It is astounding that this basic affirmation of human sexual identity is in any way controversial to anyone not living in a mud hut.

If the core of western civilization is so debased, some kind of cosmic realignment might be in the offing.

The Space Cadets of Sexual Disorientation

Indeed!

Kudos to whoever is holding the fort at the Vatican! It can sometimes feel like it's falling apart, but the LORD is upholding the structure!

As He's done for thousands of years, so to be expected. :)!

The Church will survive this. Unfit ministers must be rooted out.

“A gender fluid bomb?”

Sounds icky... and sticky.

Sadly, their tardiness is what makes this controversial. Had they been forthright and consistent over the years (discipline for Fr Martin and others), it wouldn't be anything but an affirmation of truth. Now? It's revolutionary... even though it's just basic doctrine.

If a man offers to check your gender fluid level with his dipstick, retreat with haste. Protect your backhole.

nope because people living in mud huts already know there are two sexes with no controversy and know the West is off its collective rocker

This is THE Biblical position on man and woman. There is only male and female. Scripture is crystal clear on this.

Excellent point!

No primitive society would be so backwards as to deny basic biology.

You have to be 21st century modernist morons to swallow such swill.

As this article explains, the Vatican statement is against the concept of "gender fluidity" and the overall program of "Critical Gender Theory."

I may have confused people with the formatting --- it was hard to show who was being quoted, and who was replying.

But the main thing is: the Vatican came out solidly pro-Divine Law and pro-Natural Law on gender.

Sorry for any confusion in the layout.

And yes, it's as obvious as the nose on your face, or even moreso, the contents of your underpants.

Nobody even thought it possible to be confused about this (obvious genetic/chromosomal problems excepted) until, comparatively, 15 minutes ago.ALL of our ancestors had this "straight" --- ALL of them ---or they wouldn't have been our ancestors, and we wouldn't be here.

Ahem. Natural selection consistently selects against gender confusion.

These documents are always reactive. Society comes up with a silly idea, the bishops put their collective heads together to produce a document that states existing teaching in a way to specifically correct the silly idea for the faithful. The Church has never said anything to the contrary and documents like Humanae Vitae and Theology of the Body already made the Catholic position on this clear to those paying attention.

The lack of discipline for Martin and his faction is because too many in leadership try to take a conciliatory approach or are themselves morally compromised. Rapping knuckles and excommunicating heretics is too harsh and medieval for them.

Fr Martin profanes Church teaching, we all know it except the poor gays he’s duping. They will become embittered by hearing Truth after believing him and then curse the Church even more. That is our fault for not defrocking him. More gays experiencing more confusion instead of more truth and clarity to work through.

We permit this as a Church and are daily damned for it. Sorry God. Sorry gays. Better is deserved. Fr. martin is a hurtful jerk.

“sets aside the real-life experiences of LGBT people.”

So the document doesn’t mention early abuse and/or abandonment issues, compulsive, anonymous cruising and hook-ups, depression, substance abuse, violence, suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, poor health (thinness or obesity), successful suicides, HIV/AIDS, cancers, and dramatically shortened lifespans?

But...but... but...those aren't real life experiences.

More like real-death experiences.

Which is to say--- Good point. It should be shouted from the housetops.

So the activie participants in gender challenged same sex relationships or sexual acts are homosexuals... Both unpleasing and an abomination in the eyes of the Almighty according to His word. That homosexual and pedophilia are the single worse of Sin it is a disqualification by His Sons word.
