When asked about whether the member thought the Order was still Sovereign, and if they intended to continue within it, he replied: I think the Order is not sovereign anymore, but that will pass with this Papacy, I think.

A case could be made that the order itself is illicit, and could be ignored by those priests wishing to do so. A second approach for those who are willing is to use the Ordinary Form in Latinam, ad orientem. Do not use extraordinary ministers, no altar girls, and no “kiss of peace” (it is optional). And throw in the Last Gospel and Low Mass prayers after Mass. No rule against praying for the conversion of Russia, and protection of the Church.
