But now we KNOW so much more. Now we have SCIENCE, which explains so many things that were mysteries to the Bible writers.

There are two theories on what the Bible is about.

1. A book written by men about God.

2. A book written by God for men.

Apostate Christianity tends to think it is the former. That is why they are able to dismiss the more "inconvenient" parts. After all, Did God really say???

Of course if you keep reading it tells you how to judge.

No where in Scripture is that forbidden. In fact we are told how to judge, what to judge and then what to do.

I worked under these types of people as a Chapel Manager in the United States Air Force, yes, go ahead and ask me, I’ll freely tell you what denomination they were from!

I’ve been a believing/practicing Christian most of my life. In all that time, I have only met perhaps two female “pastors” who were actually Christians. Most were like the woman described in the article.

A fair share were lesbians, most were virulently anti-Christian/anti-male/anti-Scripture. Two stick out, one was a leader of the local LBGT movement (an Episcopagan). Another in another city whose house we got invited to after a presbytery meeting, when we walked in it was filled to the brim with Wicca and New Age stuff (e.g., she was a witch). You know, spirit catcher wheels, crystals, weird candles, halloween-type decorations. She made no bones about it and said her favorite holiday was Halloween. That was when I was an elder in the PCUSA (am now gone).

Basically, with that lifetime of experience, I will not go to a church where a woman is pastor.

Since most mainline denomination pastors are now women, that tells you the state of churches in America. The first thing a woman “pastor” will will do is chase out all the men, so all you have left in the congregation is elder congregants who are 80 percent women (widows or angry divorced), and a handful of LGBT folks—mostly in the choir or doing “creative things” during the service. The old people are just too old to do anything to object or to move (many are in wheelchairs) and they are literally getting their life and money sucked out of them). You know these churches, the ones who have de-patriarched the Bible and the service, and who pray to the Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, whoever the hell they are. And then they all have to have the mandatory rainbow stoles, vestments, flags and banners all over the place.

Most American mainline churches are completely controlled by Satan.

Let's see. Which Bible test does this clerical-garbed lady pass? "We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death." I John 3:14.

Or,

"17 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. 19 For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet." Romans 16:17-29, bold face emphasis supplied.

A good friend of mine is a charismatic Episcopalian priest.

He basically said “don’t ask.”

He’s very evangelical in his mind and actions and nothing at all like traditional Episcopalians. He said they have nothing to do with each other.

For the record, I’m pretty much a standard fundamentalist evangelical

Reading and applying First Corinthians is a good start. Paul says to expel the evildoers from among us.

I was banned from a non-denominational “Bible prophecy” site because I didn’t give the requisite amount of “respect” for Barack.

I DO hope those that did it enjoy their Barack and his perversion of the White House that came later.

However, they must NOT say that I didn’t tell them so.

I warned them repeatedly about him.

As if he wasn’t obvious enough.

There is no need to be tactful. Be direct and truthful. The folks you witnessed are on the fast track to hell.

Good for you. Be careful, there are wolves out there....

And licensed collar-wearing apostate dogs from within, serving poisoned bait:

Paul's final address to the Ephesian church leaders:

Act 20:28-31 (AV, my emphatic underlining, superscripted added text):

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Paul's warning to his dear Philippian church:

Php 3:16-19 (AV, my emphatic underlining)

Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shameful doings, who mind earthly things.)
All this error is particularlydamaging when embedded in the underlying platform of a whole minister-priest dominated sect. But all this has been present from the beginning of the church age, now almost as bad as when catholicism quenched the congregational assemblies and overran the Western world before Columbus. Its progeny is not greatly different, as it has now turned out, "reformation" or not.

[not sparing the flock]

I was just discussing one of those, from 30+ years ago with a friend over a phone call last night.

This guy basically said the Bible confused him (a couple of decades later) and only really taught from books written by others. Also intent on psychology and exploiting the weaknesses of others, which he used at least a couple of methods to learn.

I was on to him pretty fast, but not fast enough. His sole purpose was to elevate himself as the “reverenced” one (IMHO). Decades would prove that I was not incorrect.

In fact, one of the clearest things the Holy Spirit ever told me was about this guy. As usual, it was completely unexpected. And, as usual, it absolutely came true in the next 2-4 years (can’t remember the timeline exactly).

After this period of time, I, in a casual private conversation with the senior pastor, learned what had occurred. It was only later that I made the connection to what had been prophesied to me.

Yeah. Judging is pretty straightforward.

In my religion there was something about a speck in my eye, but a log in yours.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Good point.
And here is another thing to ponder - Does your “religion” also caution that you should not cast your pearls before swine, lest they turn on you and attack the Gospel and you?

Well, you do need to read it to be aware of that.
Believers are told to judge those in the Church.
And Jesus warned to judge with righteous judgement. Not in a self-righteous manner.

Good for you. I am not saying you have to mingle with everyone. I do believe the article sounds pompous.

I find that there are a whole lot of “Christians” that think they know more than God’s word.

”In my religion there was something about a speck in my eye, but a log in yours.”

That has got to be the most misused verse in the Bible, usually employed by liberal “Christians” to provide cover to a variety of aberrant behaviors and/or heresies. Jesus was not telling us not to judge at all, but merely warning not to do so hypocritically. On the contrary, the Bible is full of directives to judge, and to judge rightly. What do you think discernment, i.e. “testing the spirits” is all about? And that’s merely one example.

Wrong is wrong and Christians can still call it out, using the Bible as the reference.
