I found this transcript to be absolutely fascinating. It was officially recorded on May 19 in AD 304 -- 1,715 years ago yesterday.
It's important to remember that the Romans were meticulous record-keepers, particularly in matters of law. Christians knew this and, once they got into positions of power, made it a point to attempt to seek out and preserve Roman legal transcripts of the trials of the martyrs. This transcript is particularly interesting because it shows several Christians who were not martyrs, but who gave in to the Roman authorities.
