The only man with 'unlimited' wisdom was/is Jesus. Men can possess great wisdom but at the same time they can be blind in some areas or willingly choose to ignore the Lord's will. Solomon willing disobeyed the Lord by marrying forbidden women. Him many wives may be an example of the ends justify the means. Surely, many of the marriages were for political/alliance reasons - and may have seemed the wise thing to do. But as with all sin - sinning is not an excuse to achieve an end. This is a lesson and challenge we all face in this life.
You are absolutely correct... I should not have used the word ‘unlimited’. However, one would still wonder about how so much foolishness got mixed in with this great wisdom. I supposed it just goes to show that wisdom doesn’t necessarily mean all that much....
