The “holy place” is the inner sanctuary ... the holy of holies ... so yes ... it is in the temple.

It’s not that hard to understand. It was a building, the building was no longer there.
History is on my side. Daniel says the city and sanctuary would be destroyed and the sacrifices ended. The city and sanctuary were destroyed in 70AD and the sacrifices were ended for good in 135AD. Why deny history?
