Since modern science had demonstrated almost NO capacity to accurately predict an earthquake, I’ll remain a skeptic on this one.

It seems to me that the W. Coast is over due for a larger quake. We moved out 6 years ago..our old house was really poorly constructed with a big hillside behind and fill underneath. I figured that a quake like Northridege nearby would bring part of the hill down and the house off its raised foundation.

Earthquake prediction has come a long way outside of academia and government.

SuspiciousObserver.org does earthquake prediction trends based on solar observation.

Dutchsinse.com gives weekly predictions based on global occurrence of deep quakes which drive other quakes globally.
Only last year a university claimed they discovered a connection between earthquakes, something Dutch has been using for years.
