A feminist pastor has unveiled a sculpture of a vulva that was made entirely with old purity rings.
Nadia Bolz-Weber, 49, Christian author and theologian, showed off the sculpture - which was made by melting down the old jewelry - during a conference on Thursday, February 14, when she presented it to American activist Gloria Steinem.
The mother-of-two, who lives in Denver, said the purpose of the sculpture was to make something 'beautiful' from the rings that once used to pledge abstinence.

Considering that Nadia Bolz-Webera is a cartoon version of the progressive Christianity flavor of the month I wouldn’t put a lot into anything she says or does rather expect all sorts of weirdness and off the wall nonsense.
Nadia teaches a doctrine of Universalism which is not only anti-Lutheran it is anti-Christian as well. Further she indicates the adoption of ‘a goddess’ as part of Christian doctrine.

I certainly do think it’s vulgar, base and somewhat Pagan.
Some of these people seem to believe there is power in the vulgar and profane, enough ‘power’ to shut down all opposition and argument. These are people governed chiefly by their emotions. They tend to stay within their own intellectual ghettos, and feel no need to feign tolerance for any other opinions. This mentality gave us the PussyHat brigades.
