This is insane.
Just a few years ago, it was still listed as a mental disorder with an ICD-9 code. Before then it was a medical problem for a over a hundred years, backed up with loads of research.
But a very very strong lobby, against the American Psychology Association got it taken out.
I liken it to other obsessive compulsive behaviors, but the problem is that the lobby is so strongly against any thing anti gay, that you don’t dare come out and say it.
You’ll lose your job, you’re position, your office etc.
Let the rest of the world bring it up, and expose the data showing the hurt and morbidity associated with it.
We all people struggling with their sexuality. But in the end it’s not a genetic condition...it’s a choice.
