DC Talk - Jesus Freak (for good measure, it's a Jesus song, but not really a Christmas song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbB0QrBIs9k
Two of my favorite DC Talk songs:
We Three Kings

DC Talk - Jesus Freak (for good measure, it’s a Jesus song, but not really a Christmas song)

They are telling their story of seeing out Jesus, finding him and acknowledging him as the King of Kings.
Yep, it is as much of a non-Jesus a story as any Christian’s story of their acceptance of Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
(tad of sarcasm in the last sentence)
Frosty the Snowman
Let It Snow
I’m dreaming of a White Christmas
Silver Bells
Winter Holiday
Christmas Time is Coming Again
Jingle Bell Rock
. . . .and on and on and on.
I always call the reams of secular Christmas songs (which most of them are, since the religious ones are largely banned off the airwaves these days)—
CHRISTLESS CAROLS
In fact, I call Christmas “Christless” generally, referring to the 95% that is just about money and greed and has nothing to do with Jesus.
I try to have as little to do with Christless as possible. Including my own church’s Christless Service, which is basically about entertaining the unconverted with an extravaganza. Orchestra and large choir, bagpipes, dramatical performances etc.
I really can’t stand it.
So Jingle Bells and White Christmas arent Christmas songs?
Really?
I love me some Supernatural, Like It Love It Need It, In the Light, and of course Jesus Freak. And some of their solo stuff and switched to other bands stuff (Newsboys and Audio Adrenaline).
It just occurred to me that this means that “Die Hard” is not a Christmas movie. (& I’ve wondered why some say it is their favorite Christmas movie....)
