Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
The great city of Corinth was next on Paul's journey. At the same time, Jews were being persecuted in Rome, and the Emperor Claudius expelled them from the city. That is how Aquila and Priscilla ended up meeting Paul. Now this couple were tent-makers, and Paul knew that craft as well, so he worked with them. Like a group of people working on a huge quilt, I imagine they did a lot of talking, teaching, and sharing as they sat around the enormous amounts of fabric needed to make a tent. Both Aquila and Priscilla must have garnered an amazing amount of learning, hanging out with an intellectual giant like Paul. As we read further, we will see that is EXACTLY what happened. The sewing circle produced two more awesome and effective ministers of the Gospel.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.. Psalm 33 NASB
