Any society or institution which prohibits or frowns on normal male-female relationships is going to attract people who aren’t interested in normal male-female relationships. There’s a reason the Catholic priesthood attracts so many gay men and pedophiles, and that reason is the celibacy requirement. Saying they should leave isn’t going to make them leave - at this point there are probably too many in positions of power sheltering and covering for those who get caught.
Celibacy is not even biblical.
