Meet Vladimir Putin's newest weapon: a church.

The Russian military plans to build a military church to bolster the spiritual values of its armed forces. Construction will soon begin of the Main Church of the Armed Forces, to be erected in Patriot Park outside Moscow, according to Colonel General Andrei Kartapolov, deputy defense minister and chief of the armed forces’ Main Military-Political Directorate, a new organization responsible for political education of the troops.

The “new church will be one more example of the people’s unity around the idea of patriotism, love, and devotion to our Motherland,” Kartapolov told Russian journalists.

Seems to me Putin is “Islamicizing” Christianity.

Alas for Russia they have are a First World state with a Third World economy and really serious population shortfalls. On the good side the Russians are about the most nationalistic white people on the planet and still fairly tough psychologically.

Russia’s marches are staged by the government.

In Poland, they are completely done spontaneously by the people. In fact, the Mayor of Warsaw tried to ban the Independence Day march.

All true. But there are , unfortunately, far fewer Poles than say Spaniards. To bad Poland doesn't have the population of Germany. In the wars to come with the ragheddis they will be needed.

Katyn was just a small piece of the action. About a million Poles were given the opportunity to visit the arctic regions of the USSR or the deserts of Turkistan.
