The Chinese government is implementing an AI-based totalitarian surveillance system that would make Orwell blush. It's rapidly turning into a police state without historical parallel, and any deviation from party-approved behavior or expression is being suffocated, and that certainly includes the (real) Catholic Church.

It's one of the reason's China's economic/military prowess is surprisingly fragile (something Trump knows well). Their emerging dystopia will cripple any real initiative on the part of the populace. What's coming for China will make the "Great Leap Forward" and the "Cultural Revolution" look like warmup acts.
