So Halloween is Satan’s holiday.

Easter has been co-opted by the celebration of Ishtar/Astarte/Aphrodite/Venus with fertility symbols of eggs and bunnies.

Christmas is overloaded with pagan symbolism - the tree, the mistletoe, holly, yule logs, etc, etc.

Valentine’s Day has turned into a day of candy, jewelry and sexual debauchery.

Don’t get me started on St. Patrick’s Day...

I guess good Christians should just stay at home with their lights low, reading the Bible by candlelight and praying for the souls of those having fun.

I realized after I had posted the video that I had misspelled “Halloween”, yes.

And yes, I am most certainly going to stay home—and pray.
Pray for our law enforcement and first responders as they have to deal with what could be the most violent and deadly 31st on record.
Pray for the protection of those who are working their jobs that night, that they would arrive home safely afterwards.
Pray for protection for anyone having to be out that night to obtain medical care, or food.
Prayers for our President, the Vice President, and the protection of our Constitutional Republic struggling with God’s help and the prayers of millions of other Christians to free itself of the horrid stench and muck of decades of rule by the left.
Prayer for the churches and congregations that are even contemplating allowing this abomination to occur on their property in whatever form they decide to call it, that they will be convicted in their hearts and repent, for the sake of their precious children!
Prayer for you, beloved—because the days grow short before Christ’s Return.

I prefer what I consider the more proper contraction, 'Hallowe'en'.

Halloween (or Hallowe'en) is a shortened form of "All Hallow Even," meaning "All Hallows' Eve" or "All Saints' Eve." Hallowmas, the day after Halloween, is shortened from "Hallows' Mass," and is also known as "All Hallows' Day" or "All Saints' Day." - Wikipedia

However you spell or spend it, I hope you have a good time. (I have to carve my "pagan" Jack-o'-Lanterns, now...)

We do not celebrate Easter or Christmas for that exact reason. Not the easiest thing to do, but we do it anyway.

...and I knew people would get all lathered up because they do not care what Scripture teaches and does not teach.

Catholicism is full of the traditions of men. Not saying that you cannot be Christian and also be Catholic (God Himself will have the final say on that one), but just saying Catholicism has strayed far from Scripture.

Remind me which chapter and verse where Christmas is told us Christians to hold reverence. My KJ versions seems to be missing that chapter.

It is also not in any of the lessor versions, Christmas is also just a religious symbol and not part of the gospel.

Jesus told his followers to preach his gospel, he did not tell them to go out and preach man made traditions which man likes to call gospel.

Since you’ve only been here a month, I suggested you be attentive to the Religion Forum guidelines.

You have violated several - now more than once.

As to your post, I find it irrational and silly. And of course in violation of the rules.

You are new here. Best to be attentive to the requirements.

Here is a direct link to the Religion Moderator’s homepage.

It contains the rules of the Religion Forum I referred to.

I realized that being new, you may not know where to access it.

You haven’t read around enough then. There are many that claim there is “no salvation outside of the Catholic Church,” and that Protestant Christians are heretics. If you keep up on the articles posted in the Religion Forum, you’ll run across those claims frequently here.

There is a significant difference between saying someone is not a Christian and saying someone is a heretic or outside of salvation. Catholics say that anyone validly baptized is a Christian but they also say that once baptized salvation can be lost through sin.

One criticism of Catholics is that they will claim as Catholic anyone who was baptized in a Catholic church even if that person refuses to call themselves Catholic. A heretic is specifically someone who while Christian professes something about Christian faith that is not true. On the other hand a professed atheist cannot be a heretic just because he makes claims about Christ that are wrong.

“There is a significant difference between saying someone is not a Christian and saying someone is a heretic or outside of salvation...”

I don’t ultimately see a difference if one is saying someone isn’t a true Christian. Catholics will also so often refer to themselves as Catholics rather than Christians, and in doing so, they separate themselves from Christians and exclude other Christians. For example, I saw an article posted here today that mentioned Catholics being persecuted in a certain place, if I recall correctly, when Christians in general are being persecuted there.
