There but for the grace of God go I. Having been guilty of some of the same sins I have hope through my savior Jesus Christ.
Democrats, give it up. Is it worth your eternal salvation to impeach Trump at any cost? It’s your choice. I fear many are blinded by Satan and will choose poorly in this matter.
For those who have sold their soul to the Devil, repent and break the contract. God will welcome you home as in the parable of the prodigal son. It’s not too late.
For the rest of you unrepentant sinners, tell the Easter Bunny I said hello.
I have no problem with God hating sin.
I can’t wrap my mind around God hating PEOPLE.
I love Babylon Bee.
Well, I can’t say as I blame Him for hating sin, the thing that destroys His creation and people’s lives.
And He’s jealous for them that they would be freed from that.
But, hey, don’t let the proper definition of *hate* and *jealous* stop you from your agenda to find a reason to reject God.
Yes, but all those things listed are attached to people.. Perpetrated by people.
God hates the sin they do.
Jesus died for that sin because of God’s love for them anyway.
But the Book says...
Well, as it is written, He wasnt all that fond of Esau.
And as it is also written, He is quite efficient at wiping out people who make Him angry, too.
Love, bless and fear the Father and thank God for Jesus.
9.) Bro-Country. God really hates Bro-Country.
The word *hate* in that passage, does not mean hate as we know it.
It means *esteem less*.
Here, in the Greek
http://biblehub.com/romans/9-13.htm
http://biblehub.com/greek/3404.htm
miseó: to hate
Original Word: μισέω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: miseó
Phonetic Spelling: (mis-eh'-o)
Short Definition: I hate, detest
Definition: I hate, detest, love less, esteem less.
HELPS Word-studies
3404 miséō properly, to detest (on a comparative basis); hence, denounce; to love someone or something less than someone (something) else, i.e. to renounce one choice in favor of another.
Lk 14:26: "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate (3404 /miséō, 'love less' than the Lord) his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple" (NASU).
[Note the comparative meaning of 3404 (miséō) which centers in moral choice, elevating one value over another.]
Well.. Sounds like people projecting their own hate. My conscience is my guide.. Hate does Not come from God.
People often say that love is the opposite of hate, but thats not quite accurate.
To me, love is an action, something we do, and we often love without regard to or in opposition to our feelings.
In other words, you can love someone even though you feel nothing for them or even as you actively hate them with a white-hot passion.
In this regard, apathy would more accurately be the opposite to love, as apathy offers nothing, no feeling, no action.
Hate can be an action, but it is also descriptive as a feeling, as one end or polar reference point along a linear scale of emotion.
In human terms, it can be difficult to understand how the Father could hate while also loving, because a) love as an action regardless of feeling is difficult to do and b) the love/hate emotional dynamic itself is confusing.
As humans, we often end up hating forever the ones we confess to God and before family and friends we will love forever.
Otoh, choosing to love regardless of feelings can radically alter those feelings for the better.
I absolutely agree that the opposite of love is indifference.
In hate, there’s an element of caring somehow.
I think the problem we’ve encountered in this culture is to define emotions by feeling and not actions or state of mind.
So when we think of *hate* it’s the destructive, irrational, emotional reaction that we humans are prone to when wronged.
Then we project that onto God and think that He’s like us in that regard and it’s nothing like that at all.
I think you've identified the problem.
Our Conscience comes from God.. Many don’t have one. Sad.
I reject your god completely and unequivocally. My God is pure love.
