It seems to me that the Church, which is the Bride of Christ, is sometimes more like His cross.

It kills Him, but He does not refuse it. He carries it all the way.

Here soiled, but in Eternity purified; here struggling, but in Eternity at peace; painful on earth, but in Heaven perfected.
