No. No money in the basket. Every bishop takes protection money from the parishes in his diocese. The bishops will just raise the diocesan tax.

At least in our parish, we have a lot of fat priests. It’ll be some months before they waste away.

I agree, too. The only way to make our voices known is through the parish offerings. We haven’t given to the Bishop’s Appeal here in Phoenix since 2014. The lifeblood of each diocese is the assessment of parish offerings. It doesn’t matter if you have a “good bishop” as every single one of these men was totally aware of McCarrick for years. Money talks. We will send what would go to the parish to helping the local organizations that help preventing abortions.
