Sounds like Father Pope is a big Ayan Rand fan. The title is misleading, more about people setting themselves up as little gods, arbiter of what is right and wrong and them with the direction of their own compass aggressively looking to control their fellow man. The notion of individual liberty as Tocqueville, Jefferson or Buckley would define it is the liberty to pursue your dreams and aspirations for yourself and family unencumbered by government and other powers looking to dominate you.
