There’s nothing communist about it; it is pure fascism (extreme nationalism, police state, privately owned but state-directed economy.)

The Chinese Communist Party has totally abandoned communism as an economic policy - it has served its purpose to take power, and now they want to make money.
How can they justify their existence (and absolute power) without enacting a lick of communist economics? They have settled on Nationalism/ethnicity. Any attack on the communists is framed as an attack on China. Classic dictator crap.
