That this blasphemy was done with the cooperation of both Cardinal Dolan and the Vatican is sickening. These celebrities made a mockery of Catholicism. What were Church authorities thinking or have they been overtaken by Satan? Imagine if this “gala” had lampooned Muslims or Jews there would have been literally hell to pay. It is ironic that in this PC era when some groups can be offended and even outraged by even the most trifling thing this open blasphemy is not only tolerated but celebrated.
With that story in mind, at first I was thinking “yet another mile marker on the path we’re on.”
But no, this event stands out more like a fully illuminated billboard on the path we’re on.
Maybe the map we’re made to follow is upside down?

A comment on a different post remarked about “anti-Catholicism” here on FR, and this is a perfect example of why so many Christians are disgusted with top shelf Catholics.
WHO IN THE HELL would ever think that allowing soulless celebrities to “dress all P.T. Barnum churchy” and promote it would HELP the church?

I would think that if a Cardinal heard “The Met” was putting on a Christian-Themed Gala, they’d politely ask them to change themes, and then since they wouldn’t, completely take the church’s name off any sort of collaboration and denounce this blasphemy.
