Heavenly Father –

The times may seem dark, the world chaotic, as evil runs its course.

But You, Lord, are still on the throne and prayer changes things. Even in such times, may we turn our eyes to You:

4 Rejoice in the Lord always.
I will say it again: Rejoice!

5 Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near.

6 Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.

We lift up all our leaders to You, Father--all types of ministers who restrain evil and encourage good in our society and culture.

Grant Wisdom and courage to President Trump and Vice President Pence, and the 115th Congress. May Your Provident hand move in the 2018 mid-term elections and raise up godly representatives of, by, and for the people and God-fearing judges to the bench.

Frustrate the evil political machinations of the Deep State. Reveal the hidden agendas of the enemy within. Through the power of Your Spirit, equip all Your people to fight the good fight and give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

These coming weeks may our hearts and minds be prepared for the National Day of Prayer. Grant Your people a heart of repentance. Spark revival and healing in our land. Ignite another Great Awakening.
