I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

As we pray for our President and his staff and for our Nation, we take our prayer today from portions of Psalm 9:
Our enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. For you have upheld our right and our cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. We trust that You rebuke the nations (tribes) and destroy the wicked, offering to them Your Way of Salvation;

You, LORD, reign forever; You have established Your throne for judgment. You rule the world in righteousness and judge the peoples with equity. You, LORD, are a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. We who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

We sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.

LORD, see how our enemies persecute Your people and our righteous leaders. Have mercy and lift us up from the gates of death, that we may declare your praises and rejoice in your salvation.

God, You will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.

Arise, LORD, do not let the enemies of Your people triumph; Strike them with the fear of the Lord; let the our enemies know they are only mortal.

We thank You for Who You have said You are and all that You do for Your children in Jesus' name. Amen.

8 who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.

Forgive us. We did not heed Your warnings and have gone our own way, giving only lip service against evil. Now we are reaping the whirlwind of America’s national sins. Have mercy on us. Help us to publicly stand for righteousness. Give us courage to fulfill our civic duties instead of hiding within the confines of the church.

COMMANDER. You want prayer and action. Wake us up! Time is short! May it never be said our nation failed because of lukewarm believers.
