When Frankie's changes filter down to my parish, depending on how my priest responds or, better, does not respond to them, I will probably start attending the local Orthodox Church as there is no Eastern Rite church within a hundred miles of here. I will not "convert," but to hear the word of God I will be better off there. Orthodox and Catholic are both Original. Both go back to the Apostles. They share the same beliefs but for a couple of things that would seem to be a matter of the differences in language and the Orthodox do not depend on Rome. The Orthodox maintain orthodoxy and Tradition through the ages and presently far better than the Catholic Church as done in the last half century.

It seems right now that the trigger for such a move would be seeing certain divorced parishioners go for communion and receive.

I've repeatedly gone to my pastor, Fr. Pete, to explain my anguish over the actions of this disastrous papacy, and to get his blessing to just teach my RCIA students as I have always been taught, myself, with the Scriptures and the Catechism. He listens patiently, with comprehension, and gives me his blessing.

But he doesn't focus preaching or teaching on any of the various points now under dispute.

We're in the Mystagogy period, and I have my first session tomorrow. I wonder if anyone will show up?

And if some do, and there's an open discussion, I wonder if any of them will bring up... anything? I wonder if anyone will have noticed that the Pope and his posse are packing dynamite into the bow of the boat?
