The full homily excerpted by Msgr. Pope:

St Epiphanius of Cyprus

Something strange is happening—there is a great silence on earth today, a great silence and stillness. The whole earth keeps silence because the King is asleep. The earth trembled and is still because God has fallen asleep in the flesh and he has raised up all who have slept ever since the world began. God has died in the flesh and Hell trembles with fear. He has gone to search for our first parent, as for a lost sheep. Greatly desiring to visit those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, he has gone to free from sorrow the captives Adam and Eve, He who is both God and the Son of Eve. The Lord approached them bearing the Cross, the weapon that had won him the victory. At the sight of him Adam, the first man he had created, struck his breast in terror and cried out to everyone, ‘My Lord be with you all.’ Christ answered him: ‘And with your spirit.’ He took him by the hand and raised him up, saying: ‘Awake, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.

‘I am your God, who for your sake have become your son. Out of love for you and your descendants I now by my own authority command all who are held in bondage to come forth, all who are in darkness to be enlightened, all who are sleeping to arise...

‘I slept on the Cross and a sword pierced My side for you who slept in Paradise and brought forth Eve from your side. My side has healed the pain in yours. My sleep will rouse you from your sleep in Hell. The sword that pierced Me has sheathed the sword that was turned against you.

‘Rise, let us leave this place. The enemy led you out of the earthly Paradise. I will not restore you to that Paradise, but will enthrone you in heaven. I forbade you the tree that was only a symbol of life, but see, I who am life itself am now one with you. I appointed cherubim to guard you as slaves are guarded, but now I make them worship you as God. The throne formed by cherubim awaits you, its bearers swift and eager. The Bridal Chamber is adorned, the banquet is ready, the eternal dwelling places are prepared, the treasure houses of all good things lie open. The Kingdom of Heaven has been prepared for you from all eternity.’

Sounds like the same place the pope now says doesn’t exist.

>> “Where is Christ after He dies on Friday afternoon...” <<

He died on “Wednesday” afternoon, and he arose at sundown on “Saturday.” (the end of the sabbath, and beginning of the “first day of the week)

These facts are made quite plain in the gospels if you read them without bias. There were two “high days,” Passover, and the Sabbath, separated by one preparation day.

I think you are more likely correct.

In that era days went from sundown to sundown. Three “days” from Friday afternoon would have been: Friday night to Sat night, day 1. Saturday night to Sunday night, day 2. Sunday night to Monday night, Day 3.

If we expect the language in the gospels to be exact, using Friday at 3 pm as the TOD, he would rise on the third day. That would be Monday. At best. And I think it would be Monday after sundown.

I don’t think God treats his “days” the same way a Cruise line would.

Friday — 1

Saturday — 2

Sunday — 3

Each day doesn’t need to be a full 24 hours. It’s God’s timing, not ours.

The politest thing to say is nonsense!

The word of Yehova does not yield to man’s false churches, and contortions of the gospels.

The days, beginning with the end of the 4th day when Yeshua was crucified are well explained in the gospels, including the preparation day between the Passover on the 5th day and and the Sabbath.

Yeshua arose at sunset at the end of the regular Sabbath. That is the first day of the week.

That’s why I am saying you are thinking as man thinks and not as God thinks.

Jesus said to one of the men on a cross next to him:

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

No, it is you that are clinging to the foolish contrivances of men, and I am holding to the word of Yehova.

It truly did happen exactly as it did for Jonah.

None of those nonsensical contrivances that are advanced by the man made church can stand to the clear words of the gospels.
