A LARGE section of St Pauls Basilica had to be cordoned off by the Vatican after the roof partially collapsed above shocked worshippers, just hours after the Pope was forced to deny claiming that Hell does not exist.
Plaster began plummeting from the ceiling as crowds gathered shortly after the Catholic leader was engulfed in a row about the existence of eternal damnation.
No one was injured in the incident near Michelangelos Pieta statue, but the affected area was closed off for most of Good Friday.
It comes during a difficult Easter period for the Vatican which, yesterday, slammed a well-known Italian journalist who quoted Pope Francis as saying hell does not exist.
The Vatican issued a statement after the comments spread on social media, saying they did not properly reflect what the Pope had said.

"For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."
Isn't that so?
Oh Hell
This is going to get worse before it gets better.
Pope Frances spends an awful lot of time chatting with atheists, Communists, Muslims, and transgenders, not to mention heretics.
he is the ANTI-POPE
As a Catholic, athis is one of the silliest connections I’ve ever read in my life. And it makes us look silly.
I won’t waste my time showing all of the churches that have had damage even when the pope wasn’t doing something stupid.
Start living for now instead of fretting about end times. None of you have special knowledge and none of you know the hour nor the day. Live life as a good Catholics and forget this nonsense
Does anyone have the text in Italian, or whatever language the pretender spoke in? Let everyone have at the original statement and decide what he actually said. One thing I’m pretty sure he didn’t say: “hell is real”.
If I am not in my dotage, I remember Mike Angelo’s Pieta being in St. Peter’s, not St. Paul’s...surely this reporter would know where he is, or does he?
Isn’t the Pieta kept in St. Peter’s Basilica? This says St. Paul’s.

Hey, Frankie...ZAP!...The Boss.
2. Some plaster fell from the ceiling. The roof didn't collapse.

That, he does. Social engineering seems to be his main concern.
God is not pleased with the false pope.
No, the earth opened up and swallowed the Vatican, that’s what I heard!
You are correct that nobody knows the day or hour (Matthew 24:36), but we are told to ‘watch’ multiple times (Matt 24:42-44; Matt 25:10; Matt 25:13; Mark 13:35; Luke 12:36-39;) from the Lord Himself.
With Israel approaching the 70th anniversary of it’s re-emergence as a nation (Matt 24:32-34) as the fig tree, we’re close. Could be this year, could be 10 years, but we’re close.
Christ lambasted the Pharisees & Sadducees for not being watchful & knowing where on God’s timeline they were.
Yes...St Peter's. And the roof did not collapse. Some plaster fell off the ceiling. Peter, Paul, roof, ceiling...eh what's the difference.
Amazing.
The Pope had to clarify
His stance on Hell.
Jesus had a Good grasp on it.
I can see the slip of the typing as a London reporter would think of St Pauls the beautiful big symbol of London.
Well consider that some scientists are predicting that the rogue Chinese Space station could crash into Rome on Easter Sunday..( among other places)
So Pope denies the existence of Hell and the Vatican gets smashed by a space station whose name translates to “Heavenly Place” on Easter Sunday... seems it could be a message.
