She will run, she will get the nomination, she will lose against Trump, and the entire Fake News Media will attribute the loss to isms.

I like how you put quotation marks around the word “culture”. I sometimes do the same when speaking/writing of the modern age’s “culture” (like now).

“Culture”, from “cultus”, is typically and historically understood to be a product of the worship, adoration or veneration of someone or at least some THING outside one’s self. But this is precisely what we do not have today.

We have, in our modern society, a worship of the SELF, mostly, which is precisely anti-cultural. We thus are quickly eroding our Judeo-Christian culture, and replacing it with its antithesis, which ironically debases and enslaves the self. Soon we will have no real culture to speak of, if we haven’t reached that point already.

Herod Antipas was the one who figured in the executions of John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth.

John Lennon became a Christian. And his comment was right. He made the observation that more people paid more attention to the Beatles than God at that time. He wasn’t boasting about that, as he, himself said. He was observing an appalling fact that amazed him because unlike the rest of the world, John never took the Beatles too seriously.

It’s hard to pass on a civilization to another generation when people (like Cultural Marxist) are busily scratching at the proverbial CD with a gravel and broken glass.

(explanation: the other day I got 3 big boxes full of CDs at an auction. I’m taking many of them to sell at Half Price Books but among those I’m keeping is one Point of Grace CD that I just discovered seems to have been kicked around some gravel driveway at some point and 4 songs are just not importable to iTunes)

That’s a good analogy given the experience you describe. Indeed, instead of treasuring true culture, preserving the “CD” so to speak, our fellow persons would rather scratch it all up in callous, selfish disregard.

Just another ultra-left wing hag who has way overstayed her welcome.

God bless those audience members who spoke to the truth.

Hi again.

Today I came across this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6O3mZ00xxoI

... and it made me think of your comments.

Of the man who put together the above refutation of the nitwit in question, who maintained rather shrilly that whites have no culture, I will only say this: it is obvious at a minimum that he has indeed got a reverence for the artifacts of his culture.

Here I will reference CS Lewis’ The Abolition of Man and say that he is one who speaks from within the Tao of his culture.

I do not pretend to know anything of his ideology beyond that but I will opine that he may have somewhat missed the mark in his criticism of the nitwit because he, as a man with culture, has presumed something about the man he is criticizing, namely that he is merely deluded and can be easily set right by showing him examples of the culture he is denying.

IOW he is working on the basis that his audience, as proxies for the nitwit, are likewise within the Tao, sharing it with him, and seeing his examples will mutter “exactly!” and the nitwit himself might do the same if he watched the presentation.

But is this a reasonable expectation?

So picking up on your comments, and continuing with Lewis, let us look at the nitwit in question and assume he is neither especially dishonest or thoughtful but is instead what Lewis would call a “trousered ape”.

Might it be entirely possible that he has no culture which he holds in reverence but has been instead conditioned to be ashamed of his culture?

That, if we were to be precise, he has no white culture?

Everything he might have revered has either been defrauded from him, and he is ashamed of it, or he has been stolen and he thinks it reassigned only to others, to non-whites.

So what he is really saying as he screamed shrilly is “I have no culture!” yet he foolishly assumes all white people are or should be as he is ... so he maintains there is no white culture.

Whites who say we do have a culture invalidate the proverbial barren wasteland he lives upon which Lewis might have associated with the far northern wastes where passionate once men and never men dwell in degradation in The Pilgrim’s Regress.

So the nitwit too is acting from the empoverished intellectual barrens that are his tao and he may actually be trying to present what argument and reasoning he can still muster.

So maybe the video blogger should have refuted the nitwit saying that “I have a culture (even if you don’t)”?

What are your thoughts?
