For me this is pure logic. If Vatican II gave us error in faith and morals and we know that the Holy Spirit can not permit that through a true pope, ergo.....

It's either that, or Vatican II is completely Catholic and there was never a substantial departure from the Faith and Magisterium that came before it.

I can only post today, so I don't want to get too involved with you also given you aren't even Catholic.

I appreciate your answer but one of your fellow Roman Catholics has said the Holy Spirit does not select the pope.

How would you account for that?
