Cardinal Heenan didnt hesitate in saying that John XXIIIs Council provided an excuse for rejecting so much of the Catholic doctrine which he wholeheartedly accepted. The perfectly efficient organisation of the Rhine Fathers allowed them to arrive in Rome in a similar way to a well-formed [political]party with very precise politics to follow and clear aims to achieve. The other Fathers arrived in Rome just as simple Catholics without even knowing the exact reason for that convocation.
