The marriage between two gay men has been invalidated in Russia. Eugene Voitsekhovsky and Paul Stotsko, Russian citizens, had a marriage service in Copenhagen, Denmark on January 4, which was then initially notarized by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports strana.ua.
However, the ministry employees who recognized the gay union have been fired, and the mens passports, with a stamp of registration of their marriage, have been invalidated.
Russians carry internal passports that are used as their main source of identification and which contain information about where they are registered as living, marriages, childbirths, military service, and so on.
In fact, the stamp registering the marriage between citizens of the male gender in the passports of Russian Federation citizens has been checked by the ministry, with the result that the employee who allowed the violation of Russian Federation legislation and her immediate supervisor will be fired from the offices of Internal Affairs. The passports of these citizens have been included in the federal base of invalid passports, Internal Affairs representative Irina Volk stated.
Russia showing some common sense.
Gays don’t need rights. They need their minds righted.
Who ever would have thought that we’d ever see the day when we wished we were more like Russia?
Indeed.
My wife and I got married on a small island near Copenhagen. It was for convenience since it was easier to get both Russia and the US to recognize the marriage for the purposes of changing the name on her passport and applying for her visa to emigrate here. When I found out that the island is used often by homosexuals to get married for similar reasons, it gave me the heebie jeebies.
The Russians know that giving official government approval of perversion will be their nations downfall, just as it is happening here.
The Russians love and protect their children from homosexuals. The USA does not.
How charming. Their anal canals are shaped like a heart.
They look like they could pass for brothers. Talk about “self-love” and narcissism.
Well, homosexuality IS a mental disorder so maybe Russia is just trying to keep the crazies out.
That's what I was thinking too.
And as I’ll endlessly point out, the APA removed homosexuality from their list of mental illnesses on the DSM in 1973 based not on sound science, but because of political peer pressure. Rationalizing and legitimizing exhibitionism and malignant narcissism has only served to make the society at large more dysfunctional and unsound, rather than resolving these key problems. Legitimacy of bad behavior and bad choices only proliferates those characteristics (and we wonder why we’re in such a state of affairs today).
“Rationalizing and legitimizing exhibitionism and malignant narcissism” in 1973 was evil. Blood was splattered on professionals at a conference in Hawaii. Majority of psychiatrists today agree that same sex attraction is a temporary response to trauma that goes away when the trauma is healed.
Russia: Bastion of civilization. Ronald Reagan is spinning in his grave.
It would be great to explain why Russia is the HIV capital of Europe then. I am more than willing to bet the Russian government is corrupt and probably turns a blind eye to child rapes, in spite of laws in existence. I don’t see them as much better than us. Don’t be surprised if Russia turns pro-homosexual in a few years, because it didn’t take long for the US to change either.
In his last years Reagan and Gorby became good friends. Gorbachev visited the Reagans at the ranch not long before Dutch’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis was revealed. He always had seen the Russian people as “good” but the government “bad” or “evil.” So once communism fell, he would have had no problem with a “new” Russia that looked much like the pre-communist one.
Understood. Yes. Its just sad how far this country has fallen.

I heard about this, I figured some employee went rogue and the matter would be rectified and it has been.
Man, that was epic brutal. You almost felt for the kid.
That video never gets old...:)
