US Bishops Silent on Trump’s Many Pro-life Measures

Pro-life leaders view Trump as the "most pro-life president in modern history"

The U.S. bishops continue to attack their president on social justice issues like immigration, health care, gun control, climate change and tax reform while turning a blind eye to his many pro-life accomplishments.

Pro-life leaders, in reviewing this past year's pro-life accomplishments of President Donald Trump, hail him as the most pro-life president in modern history. Troy Newman, president of the pro-life organization Operation Rescue, noticed that President Trump "has proven to be the most pro-life president we have had in modern history and has backed up his pro-life rhetoric with action like no other before him."

He's referring to such actions like the president, just days after his inauguration, reinstating the "Mexico City Policy," which prohibits non-governmental organizations that receive U.S. aid from performing and promoting abortion overseas. Also, the president expanded it by directing the Secretary of State to include that the ban covers overseas abortions as well. Yet, these actions receive little or no praise from the bishops who are busy attacking him in other areas.

In many cases, they are Communists, not Christians.

Actually in many cases they are queer, Communists, and not Catholics. They can profess Jesus Christ and I suppose in many circles that would be enough to call them Christians but not in my book.

When Trump selected a true conservative for the Supreme Court I thought, “if he never does anything else during his presidency then he is a great president.”

When Trump continued to pick conservative lower court judge after conservative judge, again I said “If he does nothing else he is a great President.”

Now that Trump has done so much to stop abortion, many thousands of them, again I say, “ If Trump never does anything else he is a great president.

Most have no idea how much he has done to defend the innocent. I have never before thought of Trump as a Godly man, perhaps I have been wrong.

I say "in many cases"

and you chide me for saying "One cannot speak so generally about ALL the Bishops."

I was careful to show respect for those with spines.

How can "US bishops" be in favor of citizen disarmament, when the apostle Peter, the first Pope (their reckoning, not mine), carried a personal sidearm in the Garden of Gethsemane, at the bidding of the Lord Jesus Christ, and used his sidearm in defense of the innocent Lamb of God? Do they not believe that "thou shalt not murder" contains an implicit command to also preserve life?

Or perhaps they are just a bunch of Marxists, like the present Pope?

Right off the bat.

Cordileone in San Francisco

Sample in Oregon

Sartain in Washington. (I think I have his name right.)

Chaput in PA

The Bishop in Denver — would have to look up his name.

Except for the Bishop in Denver these other Bishops got put into areas that are liberal and they are making good changes.

Our Bishop sued the Government over mandatory birth control coverage provisions in Obamacare.

The suit was settled and the mandate dropped after President Trump was elected.

I have yet to hear our Bishop say Thank You.
