Are they allowing followers of Allah to pray for our demise in this church?
No. They are not.
It amazes me how some of the media is spinning this - a congregations spending £300,000 to rejuvenate and revitalise an aging Victorian era church so it can continue to be used for Christian worship and other community activity by its parishoners well into the twenty first century has been completely misrepresented in these newspapers. No non-Christian religious activity will be allowed to take place in this Church. Such would be a violation of Church of England Canon Law and is not even being contemplated. The Church may be used for some secular community activities on occasion - but not non Church of England religious activity.
This should be being celebrated for what it is - a local Christian community of limited means investing in the future of their Church.
