Yes, some bets are made without using the reasoning process that God gave us. Read through this thread.
Nice attempt to finesse the argument; it failed.
It points out that most people in the Mormon church don’t know all the stuff that you know. My neighbor is Mormon and she has been married in the Temple twice. I had dinner with the Elders on Christmas Eve(both from Utah). They probably know most of it.
The 3 local churches (multiple wards) are different from night and day. Two of them are very “hillbilly” for lack of a better word. One is very urban-ish. My uncle was a member of one of the hillbilly churches and he knew nothing about the Temple activities when I asked him about it. He just went to church there. Both of the rural churches are run by two large families.
Thanks for proving my point Paul also says he became everything to all people to reach them. Invective is appropriate at times but not all the time and to those that agree with you.
Well; the data is available; and most of it on 'official' Mormon websites.
I hear ya!
I've been going to a congregation on the far west side of Hancock county that is quite 'urban' Think 'rock&roll' praise band and yuppie type young folks.
I've also been attending a rural church almost to the east side of the county.
Mostly older farmer types and 'traditional' type of music. There is a smattering of younger folks in it.
Both are in the same denomination.
I hear ya.
Sorry to be repetitive but on these Holocaust victims baptism threads I simply feel I must carry the message of all my ancestors who perished:
Good luck...
With all that....
Luke 22:35-38
35 And he said to them, When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?
They said, Nothing.
36 He said to them, But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack.
And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.
37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: And he was numbered with the transgressors. For what is written about me has its fulfillment.
38 And they said, Look, Lord, here are two swords.
And he said to them, It is enough.
Over in Radford Va, there are two Methodists churches on the same street within blacks of each other. One is white and one is black.
