Just like during the original Christmas, Jesus' birth will not be celebrated in Nazareth this year -- though this time, it's being blamed on President Trump.
Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has caused a backlash in the region, particularly among Muslims, and the reaction's reverberated to Nazareth, where the town's mayor, Ali Salam, announced Thursday that all planned Christmas events would be canceled.

So ordinary Christians don’t have to risk their lives in a pilgrimage to Bethlehem to pay homage?
There are business and merchants that will lose out on those dollars.
The PA is a parasitic welfare state that floats along on EU and other handouts, so there’s little incentive to even pretend to create a real economy.
Accordingly, trashing one of their very few legitimate industries, Christmas tourism, is easy and of little consequence. Shortfall - who cares? Brussels will just bump up the next check.

Well, there’s a nice town in eastern PA by the same name that will still celebrate. And they have a terrific fromagerie, Cheeses of Nazareth.

Yet another reason that Israel needs to control all of Jerusalem, as well as the so-called “west bank.”
It’s only under Israeli control that the free exercise of religion is allowed in all the holy sites in Jerusalem. Remember that while under muslim rule (as well as British rule, due to muslim demands,) that Jews not be allowed to visit and pray at Jewish holy sites. Not only that, but for a Jew to dare Blow a Shofar (a ritual of sounding a ram’s horn,) on the Jewish High Holy Days, would result in the death penalty of the Jew.
So, in a display of “muslim rage” (and when aren’t muslims raging,) the muslims are cancelling Christmas.

Is the town’s mayor, Ali Salam, also going to hold his breath until he turns blue, refuse to put away his toys after playing with them, and knock his little sippy cup off of the high-chair table?
Yeah, whenever Muslims are mad about Jews they need to punish Christians as well.
Muslims are inherently bigoted against all other religions. It’s in their Koran and throughout their history.
I thought most of the Christians there had been killed or driven out years before.
