Planned Parenthood Uses Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran and Episcopal Labels to Push...

FULL TITLE: Planned Parenthood Uses Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran and Episcopal Labels to Push Fundraising Campaign

Trying to claim the moral high ground, the abortion chain Planned Parenthood created a new social media campaign this week to make it look like it receives a lot of religious support.

In essence, the abortion group is saying: “Look! We’re a great cause. Religious people support us, and you should, too!”

Just ignore the fact that Planned Parenthood is responsible for destroying the lives of about 320,000 unborn babies each year – something most religious people find morally repugnant. That it has been caught covering up sexual abuse of minors and lying to women. Or that it currently is under criminal investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The “People of Faith Support Birth Control Access” campaign is a project of Planned Parenthood Action, the abortion chain’s fundraising arm. It features a series of religious memes to be shared by people in major world religions and Christian denominations, including Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopal, evangelical, Jewish and Muslim.

Planned Parenthood’s Clergy Advocacy Board promoted the memes, saying, “This attack is the latest example of a sustained campaign to impose negative and narrowly held religious perspectives into the private lives of Americans.”

The Federalist reports the campaign, barely a day old, already has been met with a huge backlash on social media.

“The responses from faithful Christians to these ads have been loud and powerful. Average people, pastors, mothers, parents, an children, all are coming together to tell PP that they’re not okay with the names of their churches being used in this way,” Holly Scheer wrote.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

She continued:

Usually, I recommend avoiding the comments section online. They can be full of horrible examples of how awful people can be to each other when a screen separates them. The hundreds and hundreds of comments on these posts, however, tell a different comments story. They’re full of people standing up for their faith, for others who can’t defend themselves, and contain words of encouragement and hope. PP Action might have been trying to show that religious people can support their cause, but they’ve demonstrated the exact opposite.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in the United States. Late last week, news broke that the U.S. Department of Justice launched a criminal investigation into Planned Parenthood and other groups associated with the trafficking of aborted baby body parts.

They murder babies. Why would lying be a difficulty for them?

Are they using Nancy Pelosi to claim they have the support of the Catholic Church?

EVIL. Whoever thought up the idea that women should be able to legally contract for the MURDER of their own children before they ever draw a breath must have been demon-possessed. I pray God we can one day make this repugnant crime ILLEGAL again. Both the women and the ‘doctors’ should be IN JAIL or executed.

Religious people don’t support abortion (other than as required to save the mother’s life, of course, and those cases are fortunately pretty rare). Demonic people support abortion.

"... including Baptist, .."

Most people when they see the word "Baptist" think "Southern Baptist". But what they don't realize is there's a much smaller denomination called "American Baptist" - about 5% of the size of the SBC - that often lends their name to liberal causes.

So when leftists want to cloak their cause with fig-leaves of Christian morality, this is the go-to denomination for claiming, "See? The entire spectrum of Christians support us, even the 'Baptists' who we all know are very conservative, merely by having the word Baptist in their name".

Likewise, whenever they want to trash Christians - and Baptists in particular - then the so-called Westboro Baptist "Church" is dragged into view as the prototype for all Baptists and/or all Christians.

I doubt that these churches spoke out for PP.
