The pouring out of His blood harkens back to the OT sacrifices where the blood of the sacrifice was poured out for the sins of the people.

The blood was never consumed.

His sacrifice is a one time sacrifice for the sins of those who will believe in Him.

“Though Christ renounced all those privileges, He never ceased to be God. At any moment He could have blasted His enemies off the face of the earth, but He didn’t. He voluntarily emptied Himself for you and me.”

The words of the Lord contradict this rash statement.

Jn 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself,

AV Jn 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing:

AV Jn 8:28 I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

The power to blast “His enemies off the face of the earth” is neither true, nor was it possible. Though He was begotten by God’s power of Holy Spirit and shared in God’s deity, He was a man, not God.
