Dublin Archdiocese Affirms Gay Relationships

New document portends trouble at 2018 World Meeting of Families

DUBLIN (ChurchMilitant.com) - Ireland's largest diocese is affirming same-sex relationships.

Ahead of the 2018 World Meeting of Families, the archdiocese of Dublin has released a six-part guide, a "parish conversation," to prepare the faithful for the event.

Released under the watch of Dublin Abp. Diarmuid Martin, "Amoris: Let's talk Family! Let's be Family!" is sparking controversy, as it contains a passage endorsing active homosexual relationships as an alternative family model, providing "mutual support" for participants.

On page 24, under a section titled "The Christian Vision for the Family," the guide reads, "While the Church upholds the ideal of marriage as a permanent commitment between a man and a woman, other unions exist, which provide mutual support to the couple. Pope Francis encourages us never to exclude but to accompany these couples also, with love, care and support."

Directly beneath this quote, the guide features a photo of a lesbian couple — one of them sporting a rainbow tattoo — in an intimate embrace.

Because God didn’t really mean it when he obliterated Sodom and Gomorrah 🙄

Oh gay parish! How do you tell which priest is the “male” partner of the union?

Does the Catholic church think it knows better than Almighty God? That is rank idolatry, and echoes the Father of Lies in Eden,”Hath God said…..?”

Here's what the Catholic Church teaches! (And there are numerous references against homosexual relationships in the Bible.)

Catechism of the Catholic Church

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

Do they affirm adulterous relationships too? Pedophiles? After all, love is love is love . . .

Personally, I’ll trust the Bible, not some modern revision to God’s word.

The Catholic Church may teach one thing with words, but they teach the opposite with their actions at the Vatican. It is sad, but not surprising.

The Church doesn’t teach these negative ideas. Individuals do that. And they do not represent the Catholic Church.

The Church doesn’t teach these negative ideas.

Their approval AT THE VATICAN does teach that despite what is formally said, it is OK.

Individuals do that.

Individuals - gay ones - who are gainfully employed BY THE VATICAN, in positions of INFLUENCE - and are NOT FIRED, even though their arrest records are fully known to everyone from the Pope down.

And they do not represent the Catholic Church.

They absolutely are approved, hired, kept, known about, and employed. They fully represent the Roman organization. They undermine everything they teach.

The fact that the Catholic hierarchy doesn’t deal with this essentially means that they condone it.

I think it’s worse than that. I think they’re actually instigating it.

Because the Church in Ireland isn’t dying fast enough for Abp. Martin’s test.
