[Why millennials are ditching religion for witchcraft and astrology]

MILLENNIALS grew up on HARRY POTTER. The POTTER SERIES play practically nonstop on Freeform. They know every spell, but NOTHING about JESUS CHRIST, LORD and SAVIOR.

Sad thing many CHRISTIANS fell for Harry too.

My kids thought I was cruel when I wouldn’t let them read the Harry Potter books.

As fantasy literature goes, the Harry Potter series is absurdly overrated. IMHO, anyway.

Give me J. R .R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, and Michael Moorcock any day.

The Harry Potter books should be burned and all prints of the movies destroyed as well.

And this is why we aren’t winning. The Harry Potter books are entertaining just like all books are entertaining. OMG, I can’t even, lol.

Umm..no as tempting as it is I think our problems run a bit deeper than one popular book series.

A friend of mine writes fanfics that are set in popular franchises like Harry Potter to try to reach out to these millenials. The fan novels start normally (no overt proselytizing) and then gradually become more Christian as time goes on, and end with full-on witnessing of the Gospel including quotes and verse footnotes, etc.

She loses a lot of readership mid story (sometimes with nasty comments), but a few of them will read it to the end, and a handful of those will then PM for more info.

Stuff like Harry Potter and those vampire stories are nothing but gateways into the occult.

It’s desensitizing people to the demonic and sometimes indoctrinating them into it.

You cannot mess around in those spiritual areas without inviting its presence into your life.

They do not know the seriousness and consequences of what they are opening themselves to.

It is NOT harmless fun.

The irony is: in the absence of God, why was Voldemort evil?

The Harry Potter obsession is just bizzarro. There is a Harry Potter fest in northwest Philadelphia this weekend...tens of thousands of people, maybe more coming in. They are bussing them in from all over. Little witches everywhere! I don’t get it.
