We know that our help comes only from You. We rejoice at some of the things that men are doing in our Nation and give You the glory for each one. We are tempted to be discouraged at some things that are done by the wicked. Ultimately, however, our healing and the demolition of those things unpleasant to You are accomplished only by Your HOLY Spirit. Apart from You there is no good.
We pray today for Secretary of State Tillerson. You know those who are Yours, but if he or his family have not received eternal life through Jesus Christ, we ask for the grace of the Holy Spirit to draw, convict and enlighten them, sending laborers into the harvest. We pray that he would be in unity with Your agenda for our President and apply all of the skills and abilities with which You have blessed him toward helping the President achieve those goals. Guide him and order his steps along those right paths. We pray that You would send him wise and godly counselors to surround him. Grant those servants of Yours favor in his sight.
Protect and defend those who protect and defend us in the Armed Forces and serving in law enforcement and fire fighting. We ask You for a mighty rain to assist in overcoming the destructive fires sent to destroy property and life in Northern California.
We put our faith, lives, hopes and dreams entirely on You. Together in agreement, we declare that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
In the name of Jesus we pray today and seal our prayer with our amen.

JOINING YOU IN PRAYER this morning for our leaders and our country. Asking for wisdom, righteousness, and grace for all of us and our families as well.
While it may seem that Hollywood actresses may invite contemptuous behavior from men in power due to their career choice alone, in fact, working women in many types of organizations suffer sexual harassment, abuse, or career-ending disputes with power-abusers over them demanding sexual favors in exchange for fair treatment.
Lord God,
I pray for all your believing women who have been put in compromising sexual situations and have honored You by resisting, even at the cost of their trade or career. I pray for a relief of shame and guilt for those who have resisted, for those who have fallen and regretted it bitterly, and for those older women who are living in poverty because their ordinary work lives were devalued or derailed by sexual harassment, abuse or rape that went unpunished, unremarked or covered up, while their concerns were dismissed.
I pray for the hearts of men and women to be healed and made whole, so that the gift of sex may be honored among them, and returned to its sacramental place in our communities, schools, churches and families.
I pray especially for the swamp of Hollywood's trashy values to be drained, and for family values, life-affirming stories and patriotic themes once again to flourish as a means of unifying our nation through media.
In sadness and repentance for all the times any of us have excused ourselves for looking or listening or paying for entertainment media that degrades instead of uplifts, we pray to You for relief from this insidious, relentless stream of transgressive content poisoning our land, Father God. Lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil.
