Our Constitution got here for a reason that goes all the way back to the Maccabees who fought a war for the very same reason. At that time, a potentate by the name of King Antiochus leveled a threat of death against anyone who would not sacrifice to his God.

This is a classic human defect that out Constitution addresses. We are talking about 170 BC on that one. And, the problem seems to still be with us.
