Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Heavenly Father,
Blessed Are You, Oh LORD,
Our God, King of The Universe!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise.
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The Almighty,
You Alone Are the One True God!
Ancient of Days,
Rock of All Ages,
El Shaddai,
All Sufficient,
Our Great Provider and Sovereign Lord,
How Excellent is Your Holy Name Over All the Earth!
We, Your People, The Sheep of Your Pasture,
Come Before You in Repentance and Praise,
to Pray on behalf of Your Holy City Jerusalem,
for Israel,
and for Your Jewish People.

May the Leaders of Our Own Beloved USA
Receive Wisdom from You
to do the Right Thing.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

It was the early 50's and my Dad was sitting in an old-fashioned barber shop having his hair cut. Al, the barber was humming a tune as he cut my Dad's hair.

"That's Dein ist mein ganzes hertz from "Land of Smiles" Dad said.

"You know operetta?" queried Al.

"Oh yes," said Dad, "And I have the most advanced record player available. It plays long-playing 33 RPM Records and is Ultra High Fidelity! You've got to come hear "Land of Smiles" on my new two-record Deutchegramaphone Hi-Fi LP Set!"

The next evening Al came to our house, and I (about 7 years old) was introduced to him. To this day, I remember that the very first thing I said to Al was:

"What are those NUMBERS on your arm?"

My parents, mortified, tried to hush me up, but Al was very kind and said,

"That was something that happened during the War, Darling" and left it at that. It wasn't till I was a bit older that I learned about the Holocaust, and fondly remembered Al, who helped protect my innocence for a little bit longer.

Ezekiel and most of the other Great Hebrew Prophets who predicted dire, horrible misfortunes upon God's people. But unlike the doomsayers who ONLY predict destruction and calamity, The Hebrew Prophets nearly always coupled their "Doomsday" predictions with a Glorious Promise of Resurrection, Redemption, and Restoration. The Miraculous thing is, that Israel today is living proof of these prophecies.

Mussolini tried to restore "The Glory that was Rome" and failed utterly. Saddam Hussein tried to revive Babylon, but where is he now? In the Present day, Turkey is trying to revive the Ottoman Empire, but they are walking on thin ice. In all of History, Israel seems to be the only Nation on Earth that has fulfilled this Promise.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Amen

Father God, we stand with Israel and with the United States. Lord we pray that the leadership of these two great nations would lean closer and closer into You. We pray that they would not be corrupted by the world, but that they would move toward to You. We pray that they would forever aspire to be Your servants, extending Your Light into this dark world, and that they will seek Your covering.

Father God, we also lift up those persecuted for their love and obedience to You. We lift up the missionaries who bravely witness in hostile nations. Father God, we also lift up the volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse and the other groups who camp in the hurricane devastated territories. We ask for their comfort, peace and grace. May they be blessed and may they savor the joy to be called children of God.

in Jesus’ name I do pray.
