Sovereign Nations Have Strong Borders
—around our lands, our economies, our values, our hearts

There can be no substitute for strong, sovereign, and independent nations—nations that are rooted in their histories and invested in their destinies; nations that seek allies to befriend, not enemies to conquer…nations that are home to patriots…willing to sacrifice for their countries, their fellow citizens, and for all that is best in the human spirit.
If we do not invest ourselves, our hearts, and our minds in our nations, if we will not build strong families, safe communities, and healthy societies for ourselves, no one can do it for us. 
We cannot wait for someone else…to build our prosperity, to secure our futures, or we will be vulnerable to decay, domination, and defeat. The true question for the United Nations today…is a basic one:  Are we still patriots?  Do we love our nations enough to protect their sovereignty and to take ownership of their futures? Do we revere them enough to defend their interests, preserve their cultures, and ensure a peaceful world for their citizens?

Let’s Pray Together:

Father God,
Maker and Finisher, Mighty to Save,

We come before you to praise You and to open ourselves to Your strengthening power as we seek to make our nation great again.

It is with shame and sorrow that we survey the moral and financial ruins of a nation that has strayed from Your Word and Your Way. Hear our prayers of repentance, Lord God!

Generations of self-indulgence, hedonism and waste have amassed a burden of debt on the shoulders of our children that imperils the survival America as a leader of freedom according to Your eternal law.

The lost coin of righteousness lies hidden here within our reach, if only we will search it out and rejoice when it is once again held up for all to appreciate.

Onto the world stage this week, our President strode to speak hard truths and uphold eternal values, for it is You, Lord, who establishes nations or destroys them. We thank You, Lord, for having endowed this man Donald Trump with economic and organizational knowledge in his earlier years, with the moral strength in the present to withstand the barrages of his critics, and for surrounding him going forward with spiritual guidance and wisdom for his time as our leader.

Before us lie the tasks of restoring our broken government, disordered families, debtor economy, corrupted education, apostate denominations, the wicked media and demoralized military; but you have granted us a leader willing to confront these devastations and organize a response.

On this first day of the New Year according to Your ancient people Israel, we pray that our President’s message of determination, problem-solving and cultural sovereignties will inspire greater cooperation among all nations.

Every nation and most of the world’s peoples are now linked in an intimate struggle via relentless media saturation. Inject Your power into the lifeblood of that flood of messaging, we pray to You, our Great Physician. As predicted, may the spread of Your Word to every person bring the return of the Messiah Christ to Israel and all the world.

We ask Your Hand to lead this nation back to being governed by Your Divine Precepts. Lead us away from chaos and destruction. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Sent a Hallmark E card to my cousin’s husband’s mother :)

Weisentein.

In a family of Italians where EVERY last name ends in a vowel lol

We tortured him for a year then got bored :)

He held his own though!!

Married my cousin even though he knew she Thalassemia, a Mediterranean disease where you dont live a whole long time and shouldn’t have kids.

They’re married maybe 15 years AND they had a kid.

She gets transfusions every two weeks and wears a pump to clean out iron every night.

And he’s been there every day every step of the way.

A better man than me.

Such a very apt psalm for these terrible times for our sisters and brothers in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the many islands devastated by storms and quakes. Rescue Your faithful, Father God, we pray in Jesus' Name!
