Pope Francis has sent his condolences to the relatives of Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, Archbishop emeritus of Bologna, who died on September 6, 2017, at the age of 79.
In the telegram addressed to, current Archbishop of Bologna, Matteo Maria Zuppi, the Pope said he shares in the suffering of the late cardinals loved ones.
I think affectionately of this dear Brother in the Episcopate, who served the Gospel with joy and loved the Church intensely.
I remember with gratitude, Pope Francis continued, the generous pastoral work carried out by him. The Pontiff remembered his work at the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family, and as a zealous pastor.
The Holy Father prayed the Lord, through the intercession of Mary and Saint Petronius, will receive His faithful servant and distinguished Pastor in the Heavenly Jerusalem.
The Pope then imparted his heartfelt Apostolic Blessing to the faithful of Bologna and to all those who knew and esteemed the late Italian cardinal.

N.B. Francis has gutted the Pontifical Institue for Studies on a Marriage and the Family and instead placed non-Catholic, pro-aborts, pro-homos on board. It's been almost a year and Francis has not addressed the dubia presented by four Catholic orthodox Cardinals, one of whom was Cardinal Caffarra.

Every word you wrote is true. Crocodile tears from Pope Francis, who broke Caffarra’s heart with his perfidy.

This phony Commie Pope had no use for the good Cardinal. Every day he presides as Pope, the Roman Catholic Church slides deeper and deeper into the toilet.

I'm surprised that Zenit didn't even mention that Caffarra was a *dubia* cardinal. Pope Francis has stiffed him without a word for ONE YEAR. Two of the four dubia cardinals have died in the past 2 months.
One would think that would be newsworthy.
Sorrow and anger here for the fate of the Cjurch. May the Lord rescue His Bride.

His "dear brother".....so dear, in fact, that he refused to grant him an audience.
What a fraud.

I wish we were mourning Pope Francis right now. And by “mourning,” I really mean celebrating.
